get wet is a new label formed by a group of friends based between milan and berlin and dedicated to release 12inch mixes intended for club playing. we are interested in pushing new languages of expression, reminiscent of the best traits from old-school influences and on the lookout for a contemporary meaning of the dancefloor, exploring further motives in club music.

tresor records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. three of the &#64257,,,nest in this collection were albums contributed by surgeon, “basictonalvocabulary”, “balance” and “force + form” all originally came out on the berlin institution between 1997 and 1999. surgeon’s inimitable combination of detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his british homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases on tresor. the basictonal-remake 12” accompanied surgeon’s &#64257,,,rst tresor album in 1997, with additional versions as well as a remix by long-time birmingham collaborator mick harris.

*sintetizzatrice* is the first recorded document of the newly founded collaboration between spectrum spools veteran donato dozzy and female vocalist anna caragnano.
though his solo work, and in his collaboration with giuseppe tilleci as voices from the lake, dozzy has achieved some of the most remarkable vistas contemporary electronic music has seen in the last decade. by removing himself from his areas of mastery to shift his focus on the voice, he has achieved a new peak. *sintetizzatrice* is the first work on spectrum spools featuring anna caragnano, a vocalist based in rome.

zenith positions is a 4 track collaboration between modularz label owner developer and italian producer and repitch label owner ascion. the two producers worked apart in their studios with a similar concept and idea to create a special ep fusing together vintage synthesizers, retro futuristic ideas and funk influenced rhythms with a modern feel. the ep as gained some strong support from all the major dj talents worldwide.

deep dub techno music - mastered by salz music. with >the tube< the seventh release of the label tiefenrausch awakes – this time out of the hands of biodub. as a reminiscence to the early times of dub, the record comes as 7inch vinyl. in a classical but innovative manner biodub creates a tune between relaxed as well as driving beats and an irresistible deepness. the record presents one track in two different versions. while “the tube” solely bets on the instrumental deepness, “until forever” comes with the voice of ray darwin and disperses a pinch of reggae into the track. the vinyl is decorated with the artwork of alexander ketzer. he created the perfect cover referring to jules verne. 20.000 leagues under the sea – exactly the right slogan for tiefenrausch 007.

adult only shape is back with an intriguing collaboration, between the mysterious frenchie monsieur georget and young parisian talent le loup. a combination of the old skool with the new skool, the sounds are just that. each take a pounding bass and a solid minimal-tech stance and layer their character on top. a1 is scattered with futuristic bleeps and computerised murmurs, interspersed with reminiscing vocals, while a2 is the most raw in nature, with a tough techno feel until the smooth overtones set in and a feeling of euphoria takes over. but some may say b1 is say arguably the standout track, for its intoxicating vocal and irresistible underlying swing and groove.

currently causing quite a stir on the underground, the jerome hill remix of marshall jeffersons s trax classic lost in the groove is a complete re-interpretation, solid jacking (hard) house music using the original vocal that s cut loud onto the vinyl and worms inside your head and has been doing serious damage in the clubs and festivals last year. now with all licensing and red tape cleared away, it s set for release. dancer boom boom is actually a collaboration between acid legend adonis and sidney winters, with a mix down by house legend frankie knuckles. this sat on the b side of am a dog on trax records and is rare & obscure to say the least, but once the needle touches the groove you know it s a killer. massive kick drums and mysterious organ scales, this one is a mad mad tune ! produced in 1987 (and sounding like nothing else from that year) it s been given a very slight and very respectful re-arrangement by jerome hill, remastered and cut super loud. strictly limited and if the previous titles on the label are anything to go by, this one will sell out equally quick.

after the latest podcast of its series, for the next release outis music has chosen sardinian artists claudio prc and ness. both known previously for their solo projects, their collaborations, and also together as the gods planet they journey deep into remote sides of techno music. the affinity between concepts of their tgp project and dino sabatinis philosophy leads them to make their contribution to the label. icore is an obsessive and straight 4/4 track, where a hypnotic and synthetic arp floats into visceral and noisy atmospheres. beside the original, italian artist nuel give his dry and wild version, as well label boss dino sabatini complete the ep with a very deep and transcendental remix.

during 1993 and 1994, between shifts at selectadisc, blagging studio time from diy and looking for a new girlfriend, nail spent time at home with some borrowed equipment a tr-808, tb-303, boss delay pedal and a knackered spring reverb, plus his own korg ms10. recording live & straight to cassette, these acid-soaked sessions were given the name sentipede, after a friend at the time saying one of the tracks made them feel like they were being eaten alive by a giant creepy-crawly with lots of legs. selected from four d90 cassettes full of tracks, 99:wave presents the imaginatively titled one, with just 8 tracks over two slabs of grey vinyl.
